Gumbo!

Helen was working late last night, so she wanted a dinner that a) would keep so she could be flexible about when she came home, and b) wouldn't mess up the kitchen too much. So, we decided on gumbo and stuffed crabs from Zuppardo's Supermarket in Metairie. Zuppardo's seafood gumbo is an okra-based gumbo, not too spicy, but easily kicked up the proverbial notch or two with some Louisiana Red Hot.

Because Kev was watching "Top Chef," he decided that we should plate the gumbo like they do at the restaurants, rather than just dump it on top of the rice like we usually do at home. :-)
