White Sangria at Sevilla, in the Sokos Hotel
The weather hasn't been all that great this week here in Espoo, Finland. In a way, it reminds me of home, sunny and nice while you're at work, gloomy dark when we wrap up class. It's cold enough that the precipitation is snow, but either way, I've stayed close to the hotel.
I ventured into downtown Helsinki on Tuesday evening, having dinner at an Italian place called Leonardo that's near the central railway station. I picked up a pizza last night, leaving Sunday, Monday, and tonight at the hotel's restaurant, Sevilla. Sevilla has a Spanish theme, with tapas and good grilled entrees. The current special card features garlic-y dishes that include a full head of roasted garlic with the meal. Can't go wrong on that account. Tonight, I enjoyed a filet of salmon wrapped in Serrano ham and grilled, with potatoes au gratin and some white-wine sangria.
I did a full review of Sevilla on my last trip, and my opinions hold true for this visit as well. I'll write up Leonardo (hopefully) later tonight or tomorrow.
