Prudhomme's San Francisco Teriyaki sauce is a favorite over grilled chicken in our house. After getting a couple of recommendations for his Louisiana Red Pepper sauce, I thought I'd give it a try. It got mixed reviews--Mrs. YatPundit didn't like it at all, kiddo was indifferent (and he's the one who really raves about the teriyaki sauce), and I loved it.
While many people like sweet-and-sour sauces, this style is more my preference, sweet-and-spicy. There's a bit of sweet, bell-pepper taste here, as well as a kick. I browned some boneless chicken breasts for a few minutes, then poured half the bottle of sauce over them and baked in the oven for 30 minutes. Next time, I'll try it over pork chops on the grill and see what happens.
