Pasta: July 2007 Archives

So, I was doing an easy dinner tonight. I like to make a large batch of meatsauce when I cook it, that way the family's got leftovers when I travel. This was:

3 lb ground chuck
2 jars of Emeril's italian sauce
1 can of Hunts crushed tomatoes
1 cup red wine
4 cloves garlic
1 large yellow onion
salt, pepper, creole seasoning, "Italian" seasoning.

The finished product was pretty good. I had some of this "Mediterraenan" cheese blend from Kraft leftover that was going to go bad if I don't use it, so I took some #3 spaghetti, the sauce, some "baby bella" shrooms, and then topped that with the cheese. I threw it into the oven where I was heating up some very-yummy Italian bread from Angelo's bakery (the people who make our buns for the restaurants), and this was the result:

that and a bit of wine and I'm a happy camper!
